Telecourse Delivery Methods:
Television: Telecourses are available via broadcast on WLAE Channel 32. Also, Telecourses are aired on Cox Cable (NOETC Channel) in Orleans Parish (Channel 76). Many of the Telecourses are aired during late evening and early morning hours. Therefore, students are encouraged to set their VCR and record the classes for viewing at a later time. Copyright permission allows students to use the tapes for the entire semester for review purposes.
WLAE cable channels by location:
New Orleans Library: VHS tapes and DVDs of all Telecourse lectures are available to be viewed in the UNO Library Multimedia Collections (3rd floor).
Tape Check-Out: A limited number of tapes and DVDs can be checked out from the UNO Library Multimedia Collections, UNO Media Productions - Liberal Arts Building room 236, UNO Jefferson Center (room 106), or UNO Slidell Campus. Since there are limited copies, students are asked to return tapes promptly so other students can be served. Students can call ahead to determine if copies of a specific course are available. Students should also check with each lender to find out how long the tapes/DVDs can be kept.
